Start menu questions

Hi,
I've just started using Windowblinds (version 5.01) and I have one problem and a related question.
I am using the classic Windows Start menu and if I apply a skin it changes the Start menu. However, every so often the menu reverts back to an unskinned version. Normally coming out of the menu and going back in is sufficient to correct the problem, but it's quite annoying - anyone have any suggestions?
My question is related to this - I can see how to change the menu text colours (Controls -> Menus -> Pull Down Item -> Text Colours) but this doesn't seem to affect the initial Start menu (the one with Programs, Documents, Settings etc. on it). What controls the text colour for these menu items?
My Windowblinds information is as follows:
