Will MAC OS X Tiger work on a Windows-based laptop?

I am just curious to know if MAC OS X Tiger will work on a Windows-based computer? I've heard that you can partion the OS and select which OS you want to boot your computer up in (X Tiger or XP). I know Windows can be installed on the new Intel-based MACs, what about vice-versa?

Thanks

Short answer: no. Long answer: not easily, and not yet.

There is something called the x86 Project, and from what I understand, they're trying to get OSX to install on non-Apple hardware. But the regular version of OSX will only install on Apple hardware.

According to this artcle...http://www.360insider.net/forums/showthread.php?t=203...it can be done on most x86 machines. Haven't tried it so I can't say if it works or not, but the x86 Project is OS-X driven and links to many similar pages.

you can. i am working on getting os 9 to work on windows. http://pearpc.net/
you can run mac os x on windows but it is hard.
this is what you need:
1. A legal Tiger Install DVD, to install Mac OS from.
2. A bootable HD image, to install Mac OS on to.
3. Transmac, to rip the install DVD image. Optional, not needed to follow this guide unless you have trouble installing direct from the DVD.
4. The HD Resizer, to make the Tiger DVD image a size PearPC can understand. ONLY if you are going to use Transmac to copy the DVD to your hard disk.
5. PearPC 0.4 Official. Download the version called "pearpc-0.4-win32-jitc.zip".
