Project 64 1.6 and Windowblinds 5.0 don't work?

A while ago I discovered that windowblinds and project64 (PJ64 from now on) don't like each other. I am pretty sure it is PJ64's problem, but I just want to make sure it isn't me being dense.

When I have ANY skin applied, even the default blue/windows classic applied via WB5, PJ64 "fails to allocate memory" twice. I have added PJ64 to the exception list. Making it NOT skinned. Also making it forcefully skinned via the "Skin this app even if it uses Direct3D" option.

Neither seem to change. As soon as I unload WB5, it works. I can run as many things as I choose, and it never "fails to allocate memory"... only when WB5 is up .

Does anyone have a work around? Or am I stuck with unloading WB5 when I want to play some PJ64?

I used to run PJ64 and I ran into some problems as well with the failed to allocate memory message. I was able to get PJ64 running with Windowblinds by forcing compatibility. Telling it to use Win98 or Win2000 I think. I haven't tried PJ64 on this pc yet, but give it a try.

Thank you for your suggestion, unfortunatly, it did not work . I tried 95, 98/ME, NT, and 2000 compatibility modes, all with no avail.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?
