check your setting in WB configuration

while you have that open, click system information on the left and copy/paste (all the info that shows up) here.

Log out and log back in.

Try one of the sister sites (forums.stardock.com).

Make sure you are creating a new post and not an article ("News Item").

Off hand, I can't remember (at work = no WB) - look in basic settings and user overrides - somehwere in there is an option (I believe) to use Windows default taskbar

if it's anything else, will have to wait on someone more familiar with system info

Zubaz, i believe i am on the sister site (URL says forums.stardock.com), and I was clicking on "Create Post".. I just tried logging off, and back on, to no avail, and on my Macintosh, in Safari (browser), there is no message box, it's just literally not there..

I just tried clicking "create post" under your response & "submit new post" in the upper left corner, both worked.

using IE6 - posting via forums.stardock.com

That is a pretty old build of WB 5 crazyheinz. Trial version or Paid?

I looked at my version and I didn't see anything to disable just the start menu-unless it is overridden purposely.

That version is very old so I don't know if he has other features that I may not. Mine is the latest version.

This doesn't seem to match any info I can find.

It might.

If you have the trial version - 5.01 would have allowed an additional 30 days (if I remember correctly - just not sure if you run 5.00 trial long enough whether it will decide you already used up those days).

If you have a paid version - do you have SDC? If not, go here SDC and get it.

If you have a paid version but did not download/install via SDC - I suggest you uninstall 5.00, reboot, then get and install SDC, then open SDC & enter your serial (tools or bottom right hand corner) then use SDC to download and install.

If you already have SDC, you can set it to auto archive 5.00 for later restoration if you want, then use it to update to 5.01.006.

If all this effort is based on a trial version - bear in mind the trial expires and stops working = then it's time to decide whether you want the full paid version. If so, and you are also running some of the other software trials, you might to look at what's included if you get the full Object Desktop package. Compare that price to the sum of the separate prices for the software you might be considering purchasing. Here's the individual component list: ODNT

I've had this happen....what windowblind you trying to install ? Is it a new or older blind ?

Have you tried applying other blinds with same result ? Have you deleted any blinds from your WB config ? I think that may have caused it for me at one time..I unloaded WB and reapplied them through the " Display " rather than WB Config.
