Fun with headlines: Lingerie found at al-Zarqawi site

Do I really have to spell out the fun that could be had with the headline at MSNBC: Lingerie found at al-Zarqawi site, which actually goes to the following headline: Women’s clothing found at al-Zarqawi house??

Are we headed through a news cycle or two about al-Zarqawi's cross dressing habits? Perhaps he was related to J. Edgar Hoover. ;-)

From the linked article:

Alongside the fractured concrete and twisted metal was a nightgown, other women's clothes and a white man's shirt.

So, those whacky posts on DU aren't so whacky after all. We now have proof that al-Zarqawi was created by Bush and his crew: he was not an Iraqi or a Turk - he was a white man!

Nah, they'll just wave the woman's bloody clothing around and condemn us for killing a civilian, too.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he had a girlfriend.

From the linke article:
At the site surrounded by palm groves, two thin foam mattresses were scattered across the rubble on Saturday, along with a small carton of pineapple juice with its straw intact.

Notice the details they choose to write about. The objective of influencing us to feel sympathy toward Zarqawi and his fellow thugs as victims is so transparently obvious. Makes me ill, actually.
