I feel like living!!!!!!!

Man, there are so many things I want to do, so many things I want to see, so many places I want to visit, and great things I want to experience.

I want to hit 80 and think to myself I've lived a good life.

There are so many things I want, but I feel so restrained by material things and also by my own fear of the unknown. I wish I could just pack a little bag and go in search of adventure.

Geez, I feel like living so much!!!

I guess it's because it's Friday, that I'm 23 and that I'm meeting up with a bunch of friends tonight ready to take over the world (or pretend to at least!)! lol!

I did that when I was younger than yourself. I took off and spent eighteen months hitch-hiking around the country. While I had some good and bad experiences and wouldn't have traded it for the world, I really wouldn't recommend it.

You're living now. Life is what you make it.

Well if I was crazy enough i'd do it! lol, but i'd want to do it with my best friend, that would rock!

Yup, I'm trying to make it more interesting, at least i'm trying!

And I was 21 when I took off with the state fair,  and saw the states south of Wisconsin all the way to Little Rock, Arkansaw.  I don't regret living out of my car, selling tickets and living off of burgers and hotdogs.

I don't regret that my car got a gas leak and we fixed it with bubble gum and soap.

I only regret those things I wanted to do and didn't....

you'll get there, you'll see things, do things, go places.

My only advice is to keep a journal and be vigilant about it!! Every single day of your life! and if you can, puncuate it with pics!!   I wish I'd kept a journal of my "path"

I guess I cant complain too much because i've travelled a fair bit (Costa Rica, France, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Australia on holidays). But I want more!! I want to go to New Zealand, to Hong Kong, to Tokyo, to India (my dream is to visit the Taj Mahal)! *sigh* Hehe, cant wait to go there!

I kind of know how you feel. I'm 25, in Europe and will probably never be here again. And what do I spend my time doing? Eating gelato and going to the beach!

For us it is mainly an issue of time (read money). We are trying to take advantage of every opportunity as best we can though!

Seize the day!

Seize the day!

Exactly!  Life is really short when you think about it.  And our regrets will be for what we did not do, not what we did.

I remember 23. It was a time of carpe diem. But now, at 45, it seems it is just a time of (as Robin Williams calls it) Carpe per diem- seize the check. Don't get so entangled in the Material World and buy into the culture so much that you loose sight of living in the moment Em.

I agree. I guess by modern standards I'm a failure because I prefer enjoying my life than chasing cash. Even time just spent relaxing at home is a joy for me. They can keep the rat race, only the rats win anyway.
