Would be Abortion Clinic bomber foiled
bomb detonated where it was stored, clinic never in serious danger

Not quite the news I would have hoped for, especially given the sensational teaser used by WRC TV, NBC 4 in the DC market.
They "teased" a headline that a would be abortion clinic bomb exploded in a private residence, raising my hopes that the would be bomber had not exercised proper caution and may have blown himself up. Alas, it seems that the bomb squad did the deed, rather than the bomber or his friend that actually owned the home where the bomb was being stored (in the Forrestville Maryland area).
At least the would be bomber was caught (on a possibly related gun possession charge) and of course the possession of an explosive device should add several years to his potential sentence, so perhaps the world is just a little safer thanks to the fine work of the law enforcement officers and public safety individuals that helped take this idiot off the streets.
Let me make a few things abundantly clear - if you abhor abortion and don't believe clinics should do business then by all means protest them. Lobby local legislators and other responsibility parties to get them moved, shut down, or whatever you prefer. That is your right, and for some perhaps a destiny or responsibility.
What is not your right, or anyone else's right, and is not your responsibility (or anyone else's) is taking matters into your own hands to put a clinic out of business by violent means or other non-legal forms of harrassment.
It is a shame that the bomb didn't wind up doing the world a favor by taking out the would be bomber. It would have saved the world around us the money necessary to house the would be bomber, perhaps to treat him for mental illness, or other possible ways we'll waste money on him. It would have been perhaps delicious irony that the would be bomber would have performed his own self abortion, even if it was many trimesters after his due date
