How to load a Logon item?

Hi there fellas. Question will seem stupid but here I go: how do I load a logon item in WinXP? Do I need anything more than the item itself? Where do I put the files? Thanx a million everybody!

At the top of every gallery on Wincustomize ther is a link for the application needd to use that skin/theme/etc.

Download that app, then apply your item.

In your specific case, click here: https://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=26 and then on the link labelled "Download"

Hi beto666, first you need to install Logon Studio Link Then download the logon you want to use and doubleclick on the .logonxp file and it will install into the list of logons in Logon Studio. Select it from the list and hit "Apply" and you're done.
Sometimes when downloading, the browser changes the file to a .zip file. If that happens, change the .zip back to .logonxp and it should work fine.

Thank you guys. Everything worked fine, although I had minor problems when logging in. I'm using Bootskin along with the rest (sometimes explorer.exe crashes). Trying to fine tune around here though. Tips are welcomed.

I'd like your help in two other issues:

1- Can I load a bootskin directly into the system without having to use Bootskin? I know it might be harder but it's just a curiosity. Where do I put the files and what to save in case of a crash?

2- I know there's an answer to that, but there's no harm in asking either: where can I find a good tutorial for making my own bootskins? I tried JoeUser.com but couldn't find any.

1) you need Bootskin to load bootskins.

2) Bootskin buddy is a great tool for building bootskins. http://www.desktopgadgets.com/ViewGadget.aspx?gadgetid=52

Thank you again, everybody. You're really doing a nice job there and i'm progressing tons over here.
I have another one though: the original active WinXP bootskin seems to "fade in" when it comes. is this fx possible of reproducing using our skins made with BS?
Talk to you again for sure.
