Spying on minor race

Can you spy on minor race, they often say you should increase on your spying to get that information?

If yes I didn't find how

this is a common topic here and no you cannot put money into espianoge against minor races it is impossible..

But you can get a transport or two over to there world and take it if you are curious as to what they have...

Yes you right I should not but i was trying to conquer them by influence and their planet wasn't converting. I would have like to know how much IP they had. I also think it was'nt converting because it was their home world.

I've heard it said that minors cannot be turned by influence. I suppose that makes sense since otherwise they'd be flipping all the time, but it seems a shame that you can only take them via violent means.

What's wrong with violent means? They seem to always put freighters and contructors in orbit anyways with maybe one or two armed ships.

One or two armed ships??????? I once was playing a 7 way scenario and one of the minor races stole technologies from the Drengin. Mid way through the game I see a fleet from the minor race having the following stats;

Laser = 129
missle = 50
mass driver = 2

They were pratically going to conquer us all and fortunately I won through diplomatic victory ...

The Minor Race Primer

If you are Good - Trade with them, give them gifts, protect them.

If you are Neutral - Ignore them, unless they bug you.

If you are Evil - Wipe them out post haste.
