WindowBlinds won't start!

I am running Windows XP x64 Edition and I just upgraded to WindowBlinds version 5.01b[b].004. Now WindowBlinds repeatedly says I need to reboot and when I try using the "Additional Process" option, Task Manager shows a process called "WBInstall64.exe" but WindowBlinds never shows up.

I'm beginning to think I would be better off waiting for the Windows Vista Beta 2 CPP instead of wasting my money on this crap.

On 64 bit machines 5.01b should be identical to 5.01 release.

I would uninstall the beta & reinstall the release build.

Also did you uninstall the previous build & then install the new one, or did you do an upgrade install?

I hate to dig up old threads, but I am having the same issue.

I had the demo of Windows Blinds 5 a while ago, and have since seen it stop working.

I downloaded the latest one, did and uninstall of the old one, installed the new one, and I get the exact same thing that klingon378 is getting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

That's because the demo runs out.
Subsequent reinstalls won't let you use if forever.
If you liked it enough, buy it.

As bichur correctly says the trial will timeout.  One of the symptoms of an expired trial is wbconfig refusing to open with that particular message.

It might save support time if there were a better message. Something like: "Trial expired. Glad you liked it long enough to keep using it for the 60 day TRIAL period. Now be a pal and help fund Brad's boat. (By the way, uninstalling and reinstalling won't help. And that cracked version; it has problems, don't bother.) It's only $20."

I think a quick 'flash' of Elmer Fudd in Valkrie drag, singing, would be quicker and funnier.
