Problems with Natual Desktop

Program not responding to any input

I was hoping someone might be able to clue me in as to what happened to the Natural Desktop program. I had it (purchased) about a year ago and worked like a champ. Got back from a Navy deployment, updated it to the newest version and it doesn't do anything. No sounds, can't change the location, nothing. When any options are clicked, the click sound is heard, but the program does not respond. Anything that should make the program to the internet (forecast, etc.) leaves you with a Waiting... window that never updates with the information.

I have tried reinstallation, and the firewall settings will allow the program access. The program is not "frozen" per se, in other words, I can close it normally, but that's about all that's normal about it! Thanks...

AntiVirus with Script Blocking?

Possible - but I don't think so. Back when it used to work I would get a scripting warning from McAfee and would have to click okay to let it continue. I don't get that warning anymore - but of course it doesn't work either! Thanks for the suggestion though, I will check the settings on McAfee.

Judging by a quite a few threads in the (not so distant) past, McAfee seems to be the source of a lot of problems with various apps (and DX widgets) that need to access the internet - and it seems to be regardless of whether the warning appears (and is allowed) or not.

A definite check would be to try it with McAfee disabled (or uninstalled) and see what happens...
