Objectdock

Animation

I would like to have a animated start menu entry.
I have found a animated shortcut but i do not know how to make it a start entry.
Thank you,

If you rightclick on the edge of the dock you should see "Add" in the menu and in that menu you you should see "Simple Animated Docklet." Pretty sure that should do the trick. Never used one so I'm pretty much guessing here.

You have two options that I can think of; neither one may be what you want and you may have to roll your own.

Right click on the dock and choose Add entry | New 'Start Menu' Entry
Change the icon to what you want. (no animation support I think)

Download a Starmenu docklet and use it. I like the one by AndreasV: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2373&LibID=29 (supports animation)
UPDATE 2:
Animation! This version can use "animated" png-files (if the width is larger than the height of the file, the image will be cut in several frames that).

If neither one of these do it for you, the SDK to make your own can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/6dqj5

WebGizmo, i was unable to make the simple animated docklet *DO* anything. Do you know something I don't?

If you have an animated icon that has a configure option, you can use PresStart, which can be downloaded here... http://www.tsoftcentral.com/tools/index.html
Just link the icon to presstart.exe, and when pressed, the start menu will appear.

Thanks, Koasati, I can get them on the dock, but as Zubas mentioned, I can't seem to get them to do anything but animate. Some of them just break into a kind of horizontally-compressed jaggy and don't animate. Will try your PresStart link to see if that gets it. Much appreciated.
