First day on the job
and other things about life

I started my new job at JC Penney today. I think I'm really going to like it. I work in the lingerie department which is really fun... especially since I love buying new underwear! All the girls I work with are wonderful, cheerful, and laid back. My bosses are not near as particular about things as they have been in the past. It is wonderful to have a job where I can wear my hair down! I really don't miss working with food.
The job is also pretty easy. The cash register is nothing complicated, and then all I do is fold and put away. I also get a one-hour lunch break and two 15 minute breaks on long shifts.
I'm walking / jogging every morning now. I get up at 6 am with two of my roomies and we go to a walking / biking path that the city set up. It's really nice, runs alongside a stream and has plenty of "nature" to make you feel good in the morning. I got attacked by a bunny (how Monty Python of me) yesterday. It just ran out under my feet. I had to stop running, I was laughing so hard. The people who use the trail are usually very friendly as well, and I usually get to play with this one old couple's dog every morning.
I will admit, it's hard to wake up that early... I am NOT a morning person. But, I feel really good after we go, so I keep making myself get up.
The relationship is still in the air, but I feel better about it right now. He seems to be feeling better and our conversations are much less strained right now. Plus, I am refusing to let myself worry. It doesn't do me any good, and wastes my precious time.
Besides, I made my list of 50 reasons why I love him with no problem so I figure I'm being goofy anyway and reading waaaaaay too much into things. He always says he's not as complicated as what I give him credit for.
I'm living in an apartment over the summer with three of my friends. One who is an exchange student and an engaged couple. We make a goofy combination, but we have fun. We've been cooking dinner together most nights. We also (finally) finished a 1000 piece puzzle of a beach in Italy. That thing to forever, but, between the four of us, we got it done.
And now, I'm going to bed. My feet are tired from work, and I must get up early tomorrow.
I hope things are going well for you too.
