Eric have you downloaded and installed the Drengin Game Manager. You download and upgrade from time to time using this interface. Also Stardock should have sent you an email (if I remember right) with a link to get it along with your reg number.

Is Drengin Game Manager the $70 4 game option? I just bought galciv from eb. Does that matter?

Also...don't forget that the paying beta is OVER. People buying now is the same as a normal pre-order.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I bought only galciv (not the other games) and Drengin is the ftp tool from where I download the game and the upgrades. i am not sure about what is happening now if you say the option to download the beta is over.

Erik said he bought the game from "eb", what ever that is. But it doesn't sound like Stardock. I think this may be part of the confusion here. I suspect that ordering, or pre0-ordering, GC from anywhere other than direct from Stardock (such as the "purchase" button on the left side of this forum) will NOT allow anyone to get in on what little remains of this Beta. Maybe Brad can look into this and come up with something.

I think EB is an electronics Boutique, with webshop, where you can buy games... So basically, he's bought the game from a standard shop, and not in anyway the download option.

the eb i know of is a chain of stores (1 is in the mall near me) And if bought there i believe it is a pre-order.

I bought the game from electronic boutique but through the purchase link at the galciv site which was offering the beta program along with the final game.

Something has changed all right. I just looked at the "purchase" link and it gave me the usual two options. But when I clicked on the GC only option, it took me out of the Stardock site to EB. The link has been changed.

Brad, you may wish to check into this quickly before a lot of damage control has to be applied.

I just checked. The option to buy the beta has no "Buy Now" button. It says "msrp." whatever that means. There is, however, and option to pre-order GalCiv from Avault.

msrp normally is 'manufacturers suggested retail price' ... or some such variation to confuse the buying public about sales.
