Custom ships.......plz help!

After you you add the pieces to your hull, make sure the piece you want to rotate is selected, and you the 2 clock looking things next to the resize bar to rotate then. You can change the degree you can rotate in the options menu.

First of all make sure you have 1.1 because you cannot rotate in anything before that..

There are a trio of dials on the bottom of the ship display which will rotate the part a specified angle in your options.default is 45 degrees in a certain direction..

The ship part enlarger is a scale with a arrow or pointer on it on the bottom middle of the ship preview...

Yea I upgraded to v1.1 and see the 3 dials on the bottom of the screen but they dont seem to do anything. Do i use the dials after I have allready attached the enhancment to my ship or before? I have tried both and no luck. I can make extras larger and smaler but cant seem to rotate them. do i click the dials with my mouse? left click? right click? just trying to see if I missed anything........thanks

they should work before they are attached..

and click drag the dial wheel..

ahh click and drag! ok I was just left clicking and expecting it to rotate. Ill give it a try when I get home from work. Thanks for all your help.

Don't forget to look in the preferences if you want to rotate by only 45 or 90 degrees or free rotating..

ugg still not working. I downloaded the patch and instaled it but my version still says v1.0x2 ? shouldnt it say v1.11? anyways I am downloading it again to try and repatch the game.

Ok figured it out! For some strange reason the first time i patched the game to v1.11 it didnt stick. The second try worked and now I can rotate the extras in the ship building menu. Thanks for all your help......problem solved
