Extracting frames from Videos

I'm looking for software that would extract all the frames from small videos

I have some small mpg videos I'm wanting to extract all the frames from. Does anyone know of any software that does a good job of this? It doesn't have to be free, I just need something that does it well. Thanks for your help!

i use Adobe Premier Pro, and this lets you export any movie or sequence as individual frames, and does it extremely well...however it's not cheap....they do a cut-down, and much cheaper, version of Premier Pro called Adobe Premier Elements..i'm pretty sure it will export to frames too, but i'm not 100% certain...

Yes, I was wondering about that. I think they have a trial version. I may give it a try. It looks like there would be something cheaper though. Thanks for your help liquidguru.

if you do try Premier, you just import your clip, then export it as a 'movie', then you can tell it to export as GIF or however...i know it's not cheap, but it is great software

The free program I use for all my audio and video needs (except playback really) is Blaze Media Pro. Its free (either that or mine is cracked, which is prolly is). I know they have a trial tho. It can edit, convert, and extract from my video formats. It can also edit audio to a great degree.

It handles playback, and well, its really great. You could give it a go . I've been using it for years, and it rocks.

Photoshop can do it, and I think Photoshop Elements does also.

Island Dog, I had actually tried to do something in Photoshop but it didn't want to play fair. I can't get it to open an mpeg file or import it or open as... either. Can you tell me how?

photoshop cannot interpret mpeg video files
