non combat ship excape

i would say that if a non combat ship ie cargo, constructer, unarmed scout, or colony ship has a speed 5 times the speed of the combat fleet that is after it. the ship/ships should have a small chance to excape like 1% just becouse of their speed alone

you mean in combat? stardock wont change the combat. once you're engaged, you're engaged, no one is leaving till its over. and that 5 times the speed thing wouldnt work either because i generally create fleets with 20+ speed and ive seen the ai do it too a few times, so to have your 1% chance to escape they would have to have a speed of 100 to do it.

yes but most of my ai's have a speed of 5

Your speed is not your combat speed but how far you can go across the map in a single turn. This game is not setup for evasion during combat.
