More Blood for Oil!

No, this is not a rabid call to arms to nuke Iran or Saudi Arabia.  This is a story about an outfit in Las Cruces New Mexico that is soliticing donors to come in and donate some plasma (the clear stuff of blood) for gas money!  And I think it is great!  I would hope more people would donate out of a sense of civic mindedness, but if the High gas prices is what is going to push up donations, I am all for it!

But it is funny in a way.  For the slogan "No Blood For Oil" now has a new, and detrimental meaning.  Maybe the peaceniks can come up with a new slogan, and let the donation centers shout "Blood for Oil".

I used to donate plasma twice a week when I was in college, as did a large number of other students. It was a good source of extra beer money.

We never had to pay for pizza. One of my roommates was a delivery guy at the best pizza joint in town so we always had free pizzas.
