How come the intro movie was changed? No more Paradox movie in the 1.11... I might miss the rainy start of the game!

I can't wait to see it. I had some extremely minor complaints about the intro:

1: "Dread Lords" sounded like "Dreadnors" or something unintelligable if you didn't know what they were saying.
2. "The stargate." [no pause] "The stargate..." They needed to pause a beat in there.

Again, MINOR complaints. Can't wait to see this new one.

I think you have to go to SDC and download the Movie module update.

Only the first part about Paradox is chopped out. Other than that it's the same.

Maybe I'm just not remembering the original properly. Can someone please be more specific on exactly what is now missing?

I bought mine in UK and it had a Paradox intro movie first. After downloading the update from SDC no more Paradox. MAybe it's because it's the 'American version' and Paradox only published in Europe. Or maybe I am mistaken.
