Less is Better

When you get a Tech Upgrade, can we buy the upgrades in small portions instead of ever increasing sizes and costs? I would love to see some 1-2 point increases to Weapons, Defenses and Warp. Sometimes for balance, you need to add TWO Warp Engines, not just one.

Also.... a major complaint I have is the SFX being tied to the tech level. If all the races are at about the same place Tech Wise, then all the SFX looks pretty much the same!! How about giving different Aliens different appearing SFX? Even different colored beams would be a relief. Havuing more variety in the SFX that was available in Player Ships would be very nice also. I play hours to build up my fleet to the point where I can have decent battles. How about adding some spice to it?

Once would do nicely, you have done it 3 times already.

And all you want is more fluff in the game?

The files are moddable, although I'm not sure if you can assign different graphics and sounds for each weapon based on race. And talk about adding complexity, wow. Why don't you learn how to mod the files and make it up for us?
