Smaller Upgrades

When you get a Tech Upgrade, can we buy the upgrades in small portions instead of ever increasing sizes and costs? I would love to see some 1-2 point increases to Weapons, Defenses and Warp.

Also.... a major complaint I have is the SFX being tied to the tech level. If all the races are at about the same place Tech Wise, then all the SFX looks pretty much the same!! How about giving different Aliens different appearing SFX? Even different colored beams would be a relief. Havuing more variety in the SFX that was available in Player Ships would be very nice also. I play hours to build up my fleet to the point where I can have decent battles. How about adding some spice to it?

F/X is the proper term for "effects" (sound it out). Some people tack on an S for "special", but that is not the standard term for the entertainment industry.

you can change the sfx if you want, you can change the sound for battles, you can change everything, there is already a upgraded phasor effect in the library.

sfx = sound effects
fx = effects
fx can be things that dont make sounds technicaly.

doesnt make sense though for different aliens to make different guns.
I missle sounds the same if its american or british or Iranian.

I gun sounds like a gun.
