4D - Planet list for star system does not come up.

In a gigantic galaxy with a HUGE number of ships flying all over the place, and over 400 planets, when the "hext turn" phase got to displaying the completions (after displaying a few defections from other races to me, and displaying the GNN research completion, including some of the already reported collisions with these) it brought up each completion planet view without the system planet list or the ships in orbit. After clicking "next" and "done" to cycle through the completion views I clicked on a planet on the main view. Still no planet list. I did something else (not sure just what but I think I clicked on the ship list command button) and the game crashed. The trap address in the report (sent to Cari with the save games for this problem) looks much like another problem I reported on the forum. One other oddity: The game date did NOT advance. I went back to a saved game from two turns before and recreated the problem. Then I saved the game and reloaded it to see if the problem went away. The date corrected itself on the restarted game and the system planet view came up, so it looks like whatever was causing the problem got reset by the reload.

wierd. :notsure:

had you been playing for a long time today? Brad said something about a minor memory leakage.

Actually, I only got three turns in today. With the size of the galaxy, being so near the end of the game, having so many ships in space, and having so many planets, the game takes a long time to complete each turn, but even with my only getting in three turns a memory leak could be very possible under these conditions.

Since I sent the games to Cari and the error seems to be recreatable, perhaps she will be able to determine if a memory leak is the cause. I would rather she was sure than for me to guess.
