It seems to me that the AD fish and stuff are sorted in the window stack along with other open windows although they do not appear in the alt-tab box.
This means that the fishies will be behind any window that you used since AD was activated - with my mode of operation it means a lot of windows.
I think it looks cool when fish swim above all windows except the active one, making them much more integrated in the desktop experience and less hidden.
Would there be any way for the fish to not move down the stack? I guess this is a feature request - there may be arguments against it, though.
