Object Question

Ok, I made an object in photoshop and then converted it ot a PNG file after clicking it the preview looked good so I added object but when I change the appearance to what I made the image changed completly and looked like a box with black on one side and the other side was white with some colours...very confused with all of this so any help would be nice...

I don't use PS but I'll make a stab at it. Try checking your png format settings. You need to have transparency set to either an alpha channel or a layer. If you have it set to layer, change it to alpha and resave or vice-versa.

...other file types work (not PNG) but then there is no trancparency and hence a white box, are there any other file types that would work?

...I didnt save it as a png, i saved it as a psd then converted it to a png using 'SoildConverterGX'

targa (.tga)

As I said I don't use PS so I'm not much help but "SolidConverter" when you want a transparent item seems problematic (ie solid vs. transparent). I use Paintshop Pro and I "Export" or "SaveAs" PNG and I have settings under "Preferences" which effect how it's created. I would think PS would have something similiar.

When i Save as- No png file available
