WC: Love and hate relationship.

It is true. You know it.

Sometimes the site is slow, the scores you get are low, there is not enough interaction, comments stink, the rating system can make you mad, your best work can go down the drain, your submission may take a month waiting in approval, the figures and stats stand still for quite alot of time, the 4 million unique passing by people per month may never leave a comment, you may feel discouraged at times...

...but it is the one site dedicated on Stardock's products mainly, the main site for news on main events and customizing your desktop, the place that great masters are gathered, the one place you can download wonderfully made skins, the place for some good advice in most subjects, the forums are usually full of people willing to help and pretty much one of the best organized customization sites to date.

Live happy. Enjoy what you get.

Complain, but not too much.

Be honest and communicate.

It all comes to a mellow feeling in the end.

Quite simply put, it's my internet home. Every home has it's share of problems and personality conflicts / sibling rivalries / work that needs to be done / grass to cut etc etc. ...and everyone comes back home in time, even if it's a drive by to see how the neighborhood has changed.

Personally, I'm proud to be a part of it all.

As long as I don't have to cut the grass..........

I'll cut the grass (mmmm.. me likes a nice lawn), you can get the dishes

You all knew about Miriam's accident sooner than my extended family and were able to provide support. {I was a little hurt that no one offered to make dinners and such . . but I'll let it go this time}.

This is the site I load first each day and last each night.

As an Army brat you (or at least I) make families with the community you are with. The extended family isn't there for you like it is for the "townies".

You people here are my family. {except you Bichur, you are more like the family pet. Run away when we start talking about that trip too the farm}.

Thanks.

{and when it comes time for dishes and sweeping and mowing the lawn . . . I'm busy but I *wish* I could help}

I have no doubt, that if you could, you would.

well, I organize dinner for the whole crowd! Of course, I'll need a professional kitchen with a full brigade and at least 48 hours prior notice regarding dietary restrictions!

It's a great community. I only check in 3 or 5 times a day. Hurray us!

Never had a love hate relationship with WC. Only the former applies, never the latter.

As with many others here, this is my internet home and I love being here, even if the plumbing goes a bit awry at times.....we have one of the best plumbers around (T-man) to fix it. In fact, everyone who contibutes their time and effort to this site, from the techies behind the scenes down to the admins, artists and subscribers, is what makes WC such a great community.

More power to WC.
