Me thinks Stardock has enough on its plate with upgrading the hardware/software of the site......cosmetics are hardly a priority, nor should they be at this time.

People are more concerned with site functionality/efficiency, so at this point, it's a not really a consideration......maybe sometime in the future, perhaps.

I believe the "New Site" is just over two years old now. There has been an ongoing wish list for the ability to choose site "themes" or "skins" like you could with the old site (since this is a Skinning based site) The response so far has been that first they needed to work out the site issues before implementing that kind of modification. I tend to agree that the site needs to be solid functionally before cosmetics are applied. I still look forward to skinning the site in brown again. Pastel blue makes my eyes hurt

That woudl be so sweet. I can imagine the lizard monkey with those Princess Leia hair buns now. And maybe teh slave girl outfit? And with my wife's face and body?

We can call it "Susan's Skin Place" and then sell the domain to porn companies!! Profit!!

Changing the visual theme would be cool too.

I remeber before the new look, that if you were a member you could choose between 4 diffrent themes, there was wood, Universal Metal and a couple of others...It was a beautiful thing...I didnt know we couldnt choose anymore...but I guess they took that feature away...

Actually a contest for someone to design a new WC site would be a good idea. While Stardock certainly has such skilled people who could do it, opening up the WC design to us would be pretty cool.

But if there were a design change, it should come after the site is stable, on the new servers and after the GUI Champs.

Gee this topic sounds familar and once again...all i care about is not watching my cursor spin for 3 minutes after every click. You can do the site in Fuschia stripes ...if it works faster...so be it.

Wowo Thanks for the awesome idea... my trial version of WB just expired and I was wondering what I was going to do...it is so cool but i'll be dammed if I would spend a whole $20 on it..the cellophane is just the ticket! ..LMAO!!!

Those coloured rub-off whiteboard markers also do the trick, for desktop icons too.....but the cursor becomes a problem....gotta keep cleaning off the dots where it has been
