Other teams Influence Starbases

I am been playing the game for about a week now so I am a noob. I really like it but have a question about Influence Starbases.

I was in a game and a side I was not at war with was flooding my area with their Influence starbases making it hard to keep my people happy. So if I destroy them thats an act of war and if I make peace after then they rebuild them again and each time it gets harder to make peace. Is there any way to keep your "friends" influence starbases out of my space?

You could try counteracting with your own influence starbases? Or embasies on your planets?

Or buying their own starbases off them?

Or next time you declare war on them, don't stop at just destroying their starbases... Blow their puny empire into oblivion!

That'll teach them.

it is very important to occupy the space, that is why I often waste some money to buy constructors to create a basic structure when I consider it a ideal time, just to create a best spot to be use in the near future! It is not smart to just only taking care of your planet after all this is a galactic conquest!
