No sound after downloading Beta 3 from stardock central

I had sound when i originally installed the game and in earlier beta, however now that i have updated to beta 3 via stardock central i no longer have any sound what so ever. That means sound fx and music do not work. Yes i have my sound and speakers turned on i can play other games or a song in winamp just fine. Also the volume in the game is turned up and enabled as well.

I fixed the issue, for some reason i no longer had the multimedia package installed after getting beta 3.

Its that Audigy sound. I bought, installed and returned it in 24 hours. I could get no sound from it in any program. (This was an external kit by the way. Warranty restrictions disallowes opening to install.

You have to reinstall the mutimedia pack. Same thing happened to me and I found the answer on these boards.
