Graphic Problem

Ok just bought the game, and tried a lot of things to make a little detail work.

Planets, stars and starships are black holes... Nothing, nada, just some space ships ,with some race designs, have a few white line and a "frame"....

I fear my graphic card is to old, but can anything be done? (besides bying a new one, I cannot afford)

My specs

AMD 1800+
786 ram
nVidia Geforce 3 ti200
Win XP

P.S

With all this splendid registering i now cannot return the game to the shop and if the above cannot be fixed a wasted quite a lot of money I Fixed the ship problem by changing my regional settings to USA...

It would be very helpful if you posted the content (at least the first three blocks, the rest of it probably won't do much for us) of the debug.err file you can find in the directory where you installed GC2 (Program Files/Stardock/GalCiv2 or something similar).

change your system language to English ( US ) in control panel > regional setting, and change your tactical zoom level and you will see everything

Gellert, I'm just curious as to if you are still having any video problems? So far you are the closest system to mine I've seen and I can not get this game to run right after a driver over haul and all kinds of system tweaks.

I have same video card & OS but 512 DRAM and AMD 1900. Folks are telling me the 64 mb video card may not cut it.

Let me know if you were able to spank it into submission some how.
