Game corrupted?

After I changed the relation between my race and other races on the game setup screen, races where the relation is 'unknown' no long show up when the game loads. Is this a bug or did my install somehow get corrupted? I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, but that did not work (maybe have to delete WinXPregistry entries?).

I can load saved games with all races appearing as they should, but new games have the described problem. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know how to fix this problem. Thanks.

Version? Have you made sure that the races are enabled?

Yes, I enabled all of the races. When all of the relations are set to 'unknown,' I am the only race that shows up in the game.

Try updating to the newest version 1.0x. See if this is fixed.

I'll try that. The weird thing is that the game was running fine, then for some reason started having this problem.

I just updated the game to 1.0x...still having the problem. Even after uninstalling/reinstalling and patching the problem still persists. I can load games that were saved prior to when the problem began and they run properly. New games including the campaign do not run properly. What might be causing it?
