Military,Social & Research padlocks

I'm really enjoying GalCivII but have a little niggle,

The scrollbars where you set the %ge to be used for Research, Social and Military don't stay locked when you save a game. On reloading a game the first thing I have to do is to reset these scrollbars otherwise I can find myself quickly runniong short of cash.

IS IT POSSIBLE OR EVEN DESIRABLE FOR THESE TO BE OPENING WHEN SAVED?
Just minor but it really annoys me!

I haven't noticed this behavior - are you saying they don't hold their values? Or that you have to re-set the lock combination when you adjust them?
In the second case, you should not lose or gain money unless you consciously re-adjust them.

I have noticed that the amount of money shown at the right for Social and Military will change even if the Bar for that type of Production is locked will change now due to the rollover affect for both types of prodcuction; or if you have one type of production emphasized on a planet by planet basis. Ie you can set social to 0%, yet if you have social productin emphasized on one or more planets the numbers will reflect this and show you spending money towards social.

That can't be anything to do with the sliders, since the % is literally a percantage of your money goes here, a percent goes there etc. It's not till late game that changing the sliders really affects your income. Unless you mean the overall slider (below tax), which should be at 100% pretty much all the time. If you ever have a deficit, improve your economic strategy. IE, change a few planets over to farms/ stock markets. I'm unhappy making anything less than 1000bc a turn, so I can buy a ship a turn if a war occurs.

I'm saying just that - the sliders do NOT hold their values from one game to another over a save!!

They 'float free' and screw up my finances UNLESS I remember and reset and relock them!!

Is this not a problem others have seen??

By the by i'm playing the 2nd Beta but it has happened from day 1 out of the box.

So basically if you lock, save and load the sliders are no longer locked?

Thats right Quitch. I fail to see why this happens.
I have a good, wel-balanced economy before I save - reloading screws it up.

Wierd. Have you emailed support about this? Do you have a save game you can share? That never has happened to me.
