My father-in-law pointed out today:
On Wednesday Apr 5th, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.
Raise your hand if you plan to stay awake to catch that moment. Mmmmmaybeee. OK, not me.
My 12th birthday was on 8/8/88. I thought that was pretty special. I even saved a newspaper article from that day titled, "8/8/88: A Gr8 D8 for the town of Eighty-Eight." The article had something to do with a couple getting married that day in a town bearing the name "Eighty-eight."
And in recent years I finally shook an OCD habit of making a wish every time I caught a digital clock showing a string of like numbers, i.e. 1:11, 2:22, etc.
I'm such a dork.
