Boot Screen Problem

I just started with BootScreen today.  I followed the instructions on how to create my own, but there's a problem.  I've made the 2 .bmp files, have the .ini file and its edited as per instructions.  Created the folder and put all those files into it under the skins directory.  But BootScreen doesn't show it.  I can use the premade ones that come when I installed it, but I'm trying to make my own full theme and want to have a matching boot logo/logon bit as well.  Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Edit: I zipped the files and renamed to .bootskin, and was able to import it into bootskin.  It made the folder and and files in the skins folder automatically and says it was successful, but it STILL does NOT show the created bootscreen as an option to choose.  This is very irksome.
