Introductions are in order

Here's what to expect...

To all the JoeUser community:

Being introduced to this site a few weeks ago by my lovely wife I have been hearing about it nonstop, well for a few weeks. As she has gone through and posted, and read, and posted again I have, occasionally become intrigued by some of the discussions. I feel I would have a place here, as I would consider myself a unique individual. Instead of boring you with stuff you probably do not care about, I'll just create a short list and then leave for now.

I am...

-In my early to mid twenties
-Married and a college graduate
-A High School teacher at an urban school near Minneapolis
-An ethnic minority (half japanese)
-A hard worker (have had two jobs for several years)
-A Republican (Go Bush!)
-Opinionated.

Looking forward to future discussions/debates.

Yours Truly,

Mr. Right

Hello, I read your wifes recent article and found myself searching for Mr. Right's new blog. Excellent job! Keep up the good work you two!

Republican Jason? Don't you like your job? I think our urban schools (especially) will get worse and worse once vouchers go through.

Besides vouchers, those AYP penalties that your school would have to pay (unless you can retain high-achievers and English speakers) would deal a crippling blow to staff and programs.

If the people who pay property taxes (and vote) receive vouchers, I doubt many bonds will pass either. (Why pay more for the "losers" in public school, right?)

I am sure that you've heard this before.

Welcome to JoeUser. I think that you'll have fun here.

Just making a comment to say "Hi." Your not that much of a scary republican, so hopefully people won't be so afraid of you. Look forward to having epic debates with you in the future.

You are also the most wonderful son-in-law a mom could ever want for her daughter!
