A Favour For My Mother

Over the last few years my 72 year old mother has been studying the meaurement of time and the Earth's movement in relation to the Sun, and as a result of her studies, has written an extensive paper on the subject, which she has asked me to help her share with the world....people of similar interests.

I did say extensive, didn't I? Well that's my problem....the document is 3.2mb in size and far too big to post here...
However, I have a cover note which explains the basis of her studies, and anyone wishing to read the entire article can email me at [email protected] for a copy.....or alternatively, request one here.

By Mrs Joyce Stevens
I have discovered how to find the position of Magnetic North, the angle of
the Earth's rotation, the Global position of midnight, midday, midwinter,
midsummer, and the equinoxes, at any given time.
This is achieved by incorporating the orbital latitudinal position of the
meridian with the rotational longitudinal position of the meridian on a
global scale, to record and document the daily ground track of the meridian.
This document extends the measurement of a day, at the meridian, to the
measurement of a year, providing a time frame of the Earth's orbital and
rotational position in relation to the Sun.
I have written a paper on the subject in simple everyday language for
educational purposes. copy attached.
Unfortunately my computer skills are not the best and the diagrams are only
photocopies of my hand drawn originals.

I know that mum has sent a copy of her paper the Earth's Rotational Society and is trying to post it on Wikipedia, but if anyone can advise of a website or blog that may be interested in posting the article, it would be greatly appreciated, as mum has put alot of work into what is essentially a quite interesting read.

Thanks....starkers.

Starkers...You could easily go to Tripod.com and sign up for a free website that would give you more than enough space to post your mothers findings. I think they give you 20 megs of space. And for $5.00 a month it could be ad free as well.

Wikipedia articles shouldn't be as big as 3.2megs. You'd have to trim it down to the essentials. But at the bottom link/refer to the full article wherever you would find hosting.

Thanks for that information, WebGizmos....I shall pass it on to my mother asap as she has been anxious to find a suitable venue, not only to post her findings, but also to add to them, etc.

thomassen, thanks to you also for the helpful advice on Wikipedia.....shall also pass that on.
