WB update in SDC failing...

For the last few days SDC has been trying to update WindowBlinds from 5.00b[b].002. Firstly to 5.00e[b].002 and now 5.00f[rc].002. It gets as far as 40% extraction of WbSrv.dll but then goes back to downloading WbSrv.dll, this repeats over and over and over...

Anyone got a solution? :NOTSURE:

No problems with this buid of SDC and 5.00f here.
Are you using SDC 2.20.358 build 113? Have you switched servers?

When SDC acts up I'll reinstall the current non-beta build and then upgrade. Works every time.

Yep on that SDC version... And I've just tried those solutions and it's made no difference - except I'm now back to the non-beta...

If you turn on Check for any Stardock Central (Beta/Release) updates in the Auto Update section you will get the latest SDC build 123. Perhaps WB5 will install properly after SDC gets updated.

Works every time.


Works all but once.

I'd set to Windows Classic skin and try to unregister the WBSrv.dll before the install. Eliminate that possible issue.

Tried all options to no avail. Then...I turned my firewall off... and the install worked     I have no idea why it would allow files to be downloaded but not extracted, but, I'm not complaining, at least it's worked.
