WindowBlinds 5.01 Preview...

WindowBlinds 5.01 Preview...

Tweaks, fixes, new features..

Lots of little tweaks coming up in WindowBlinds 5.01.  One little change is wallpaper handling in which users can easily access wallpapers from anywhere on their computer and display them in a single UI.

We expect to have 5.01 out in the next week or two.

I just updated my copy of windowblinds as well. I really like the wallpaper option... but, would love to have an option to have it change automatically after a period of time kind of like the Microsoft wallpaper changer powertoy. A frustrating part of this new feature is that it does not drill down directories... for example, if I tell it to pull the pics from the My Pictures directory, it will not include the pics in the sub folders... a bit frustrating to have to go back and add individual directories.

The option is still nice in Windowsblinds... can't say that it is an earth shattering new feature though.

I only hope you'll get that annoying UIS1+ menu bar bug fixed before the final release. Menu bars in UIS1+ skins look horrible since Windowblinds 5.

Nice update! The wallpaper feature is a nice addition!

The Windows OS has no native support for anything but the same wallpaper on all screens.

Not tried yet, but now that WB5 is monitoring Wallpapaers, is there a change to have both IConX and the Multi desk app work together such that having one different wallpaper on each desk ??

The wallpaper tab will be a good addition, this way you can choose a background to match your blinds right from the main WB window. I look forward to it.

nview achieves this by taking both the wallpapers that you specify and creating a single BMP containing both images which is then applied as a wallpaper in tile mode - it would be great if WB5 could take of this so we don't have to suffer the horrors of the nview UI

Thanks Brad/Stardock, the walls feature is a welcome addition to WB and most appreciated. I've noticed also that this version loads blinds faster, more smoothly as well....a great job indeed
