Program will not start

waiting sixteen days

I have submitted my debug.err file three times now, once on Frogboy's "getting started" thread Feb 25, on the TGN site a couple of days later and to Stardock Support. March 5. Nothing seems to elicit a response. I refer to my post "cannot start" for full information. It has something to do with my TGN serial number which the program cannot find?!

For the record , here it is again for the FOURTH time.

Actually it may have more to do with your display mode > Current Display Mode: 1280 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Switch to 1024x768 or EQUAL multiples therefore of as previously stated. 1280x768 is not compatable with the game and will cause instant CTD.

You may need to go to: - C:\Documents and Settings\****\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 and open 'prefs'ini (any text editor).

look for lines 9 & 10
DisplayWidth=1024
DisplayHeight=768

and make sure they are set to above.

Now try restarting the game and see how things go

Many thanks , Governor. Changing the resolution allowed the introductory video to start , etc. It took you about five minutes to fighure it out

Now I wonder why nobody at Stardock thought of that over the last 16 days.

Thanks again.
