Waiting sixteen days for help

Program will not start

I cannot understand why I get no response from Stardock Support after sixteen days since I sent in my debug.err file. The program gives me a frozen black page upon "play". I have sent in the file two additional times, most recently on March 5. Is anyone reading this thread?

Rojonia That kind of response time is not good. i know Frogboy would not be impressed (although the team have been flat-out recently). You paid for your game so you should be able to play it!!

OK that said can you email me your debug.err file and i will see if i can see the problem. If i cant i will email you back with a couple of email addresses for you to use. Those addresses go straight to the guys at stardock's personal email!!

email address for me [email protected]

Rojonia, do you have any spam filters on? You may want to check to make sure that e-mails are not getting trapped by your spam filters.  There are multiple replies to your support ticket, although it looks as if you have not read them.

Rojonia, I read your support ticket and here are a few suggestions:

1) Go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers.

2) Uninstall your current drivers and reboot

3) When you log back into windows, cancel out of the Find Hardware Wizard.

4) Install the new NVidia drivers

5) If installing the new drivers does not help, go into your My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 folder and open prefs.ini in notepad or some other text editor.  Set Multisample=0.

6) Try running in a window. IN your prefs.ini file, set Fullscreen=0. Note that you may need to change your desktop resolution to a higher setting in order to see the titlebar of the window.
