Main Menu Not Responding - Need help as i can no longer play the game

Hi - I have been experiencing alot of mouse issued e.g Planets, ships and star map flickering...etc In an attempt to find a more suitable settings i did the following: "Unticked FULL SCREEN option and ticked HARDWARE MOUSE. Game no longer responds in Main Menu!!??? (The game starts in a windows box and then failed to respond after the intro movie). I have a Geforce7800GTX runing Nvidia Drivers 81.98, also at very least is there away to reset the vieo settings of GalCiv2?

Hi Evan,

Yes you can reset the videao settings. just do the following: -

1. Got to \My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2
2. Open 'Prefs.ini' in a text program
3. Look at lines 9 - 13 and alter to this...

DisplayWidth=1024
DisplayHeight=768
ColorDepth=32
Fullscreen=1
HardwareMouseCursor=1

That sould reset things for you.
