Windows Media Player does not work anymore

After I installed trial version of desktopx 3.1 on my windows sp2, windows media player 10 doesn't open! It says "An internal application error has occured". Windows help (icon located below that of control panel in start menu)doesn't open either.I have tried rebooting, disabling all sound effects in desktopx; but nothing works. Somebody please help!!

i've had the same problem, exactly the same symptoms, hotmail doesn't work either plus a number of other websites - still don't know what causes the problem... anyway, the following helped: click on the start menu and select run, enter the following command regsvr32 jscript.dll and hit enter, then start the run command again and type in regsvr32 vbscript.dll and hit enter...

CosMic92 : First off, thanks for the chuckle. I can only assume this is your first visit to a forum.

Upper left of board; click on 'Submit New Post'. Use drop downs to post to Stardock Support and Theme Manager. Post your question above and hit submit.
