Fleets and Ai bug?
I dont think it should do that...

I downloaded 1.0x, and I've noticed some things. Firstly, the AI has got harder due to the fact it now goes for speed. I nearly lost for the first time since getting properly into it (got pounded at first), and it can escape my ships now. But 3 things I've noticed that might be bugs;
1) Graphics on mini-map goes "odd", it becomes seperated, glitchy, and looks badly out of focus (The ownership areas)
2) Occasionally can't create a fleet. This has happened a few times, but it's normally when I'm adding a ship to an already existing fleet. Nothing major, and save/load fixes it.
3)This may/ may not be AI bug. I'm playing on intelligent, having just recovered from a pounding from the Drengins (Forgot I gave them psionic beam, and they don't seem too care about money), and with the help of the Thalans and the Yor, struck back. When I conquered some planets, they were well developed, except for one thing. They hadnt utilised a single bonus. They had Manufacturing centres on influence bonuses, farms on manufacturing bonuses, starbases on research bonuses etc. They havent used a single one properly. I corrected some, but they'd even built useless super projects or wonders on useful tiles. And the tech/manufacturing/economic/political capitals seem to be built early on, generally on homeworlds, and worlds that make them a total waste, rather than waiting till later when you have a useful planet.
Other than that, I want to say thanks Stardock. This is the best game I've played in a long while
