Crowded Place

HI!

I sitll remember playing MOO2, and haven't playing any 4x game since the big dissappointment of MOO3.
I saw GalCiv2 on a friends computer and got hooked again by the ship design mode. Then he showed me how the game plays out and I noticed that you seem to always start close to other races, even in a gigantic map and with few other races.
I plan on buying the game once it comes out in german but from what I saw I am worried that the universe feels too 'crowded'.
I only saw a few games played so far but it happened in all of them.

Is it always like that?
Or was that just pure 'luck'?

Thanks,

Technotica

It's random I've been off by myself in the corner of the galaxy..

And squeezed between 4 empires as well.

I lost the corner game and won the squeezed game all depends on how it goes.

The 'gigantic' galaxy size is pretty crazy, I dont think theres anything to worry about as long as you play on large maps and/or cut the amount of cpus players.

It also depends greatly on how many races you place in the game. One of my favorite ways to play is to play a Gigantic Galaxy with all the setting on Rare, or Uncomen. And only ad one other race. It makes for quite a differant game.

Hmm, I thought the gigantic sized map didn't look that big really *g*
I can't wait till the 24th, when it will be released in Germany.

I guess there won't be a setting that puts the different races farther away from each other?
Like as far away as possible? *s*
