Sound effects? Voice-overs?

Sound effects? Voice-overs?

I am enjoying the game very much, but are there no sound effects or anything when a new building is being built? or when a new tech is being researched? Or what about the GNN random events? No sound effect or voice-over there either?

The music score is very nice, but i miss the little extra when something special happens!

Yes, I'm wondering similar things - reviews say the sound is okay, nothing special. What I have experienced is there is precious little in the way of sound effects etc. alltogether. I'm wondering if my version is working correctly. I get the music, and the odd click noise etc. when you select something, but that's it. For instance, I see files in my Event Music folder called PlanetScreen_ClassA and PlanetScreen_ClassE, so when are these supposed to play? When I go to the planet screen, there is no such chirping of birds (ClassA) or claps of thunder (ClassE).

So, in summary, if you turn the music off, there isn't much other audio going on a lot of the time??

The birds chirping, etc play only in the planet details screen. When looking at your colony, click the Details button.

Aha!! Thanks - I hadn't even noticed that button. Get the birds chirping now - yay!
