Renaming Star Systems?

I've noticed you could rename individual planets, ship classes, and even entire fleets (i love this particular addition) but i havent noticed anyone renaming star systems. Is it not possible to rename the actual stars?

I don't think a system can be renamed.

I was wondering this too. Sucks if you can't.

I like to play humans and rename my stars to the ones that are normally clostest to our solar system.

Infinite Adventures in Weird Space (or whatever you call it) has the star system names generated from an editable text file. I was wondering if the same thing potentially existed for GalCiv2 (not near the game currently so I can't check).

It is; look in GalCiv2/Data/English folder for a file named STARS.TXT (not sure of the extension but you'll know it when you see it).
