frozen black screen on "play"
Supplementary information from Rojonia.
Apparently the key error message in debug.err is "cannot find TGN serial number". Now I assume this is the serial number I received when I purchased by download. I have pasted this in and registered, but it doesn't work for me. Curiously, if I ask Stardock for my serial number, I get a mail with a new number every time, not the one I registered originally. Why? Is this normal? I have also tried pasting these new numbers into my account information file, reregistering with the new number and retrying. But I get the same error every time. On the web, I get the message that I am registered properly, e.g. when I downloaded the patch. What is going on? Nobody else seems to have this problem.
Not to be too cheeky but here's why:
1) He asked his question on Saturday at 6:28am.
2) Your response asking "Why has no one answred" was less than 4 hours later - also Saturday morning.
3) He supplied no information. No post of debug.err. No hardware info.
4) There are a bunch of stickies that are there for people to respond to in case they have problems and provide instructions on what information we need.
For starters, a posting of debug.err would help.
Frogboy,I DID supply all the information, including the debug.err file in my initial post in your own thread "getting the game running". For the record, you can have it again here.
