[bug] Window mode not working, and web site issues

Hello folks --
First, window mode does not work for me. I am running the game with "C:\Program Files\games\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\GalCiv2.exe" w, but no window mode, and I have full screen deselected, and no window mode. Other games work in window mode just fine (like Civ4).
My computer setup:
AMD FX
Asus A8V Deluxe
2GB RAM
nVidia 6800 Ultra, running driver version 81.98, dual monitors
Creative Audigy 2zs, with latest drivers
And for the web site bug. The download for the new version of the game released tonight did not work on Firefox 1.5.01. When trying to get to the download page, it took me to the login page. I tried to log in several times, and each time it would not validate me. I treid creating a new account, and I got the following exception:
