How to get screen resolution to 1280x1024??

Is there an .ini or control file I can tweak to include this resolution???

also - I am trying to update to 1.0D . I have registered my copy and when I go to the download screen it does not show
an option for the 1.0D update, just the Bonus Pack and Collector Edition stuff

It's not showing up in the resolution spinner on the video tab? It may not necessarily appear in the order you think it would.

If it doesn't appear in the resolution spinner, you can go into the prefs.ini file in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 and set the display width and height there.

As far as I know, the Bonus Pack is the 1.0D update.

wow now that's service!!!!!.. thanks so very much..... you might want to make mention about that Bonus Pack updating the game to 1.0D..... appreciate the help tremendously... this game is fantastic btw........ oops oh yeah there it is... my mistake...... so sorry for the trouble......

Funny that you mention it, I am running the game in 1280 x 1024 resolution. Carielf is correct, it's not in the order you expect it, but I remembered them saying the game supports any resolution so I just clicked a few more times and it came up!

And, along with what everyone else here is saying, I agree wholeheartedly: This is a beautiful game. Fantastic job to everyone who worked so hard on GalCiv2.

Please help me, game loaded fine the first time after D/L I (like and idiot) then changed the resolution in the options menu applied that and screen went black stating "input not supported". Now every time a load the game, screen is black and same message appears, my native screen resolution is 1280X1024. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance
