Problems saving custom ship designs

Is anyone else having any problems saving ship designs? When I create a new design and name it and attempt to save the design, nothing happens. I then attempt to exit the shipyard, and I am informed that I will lose all changes. I have to select "yes", as everytime I attempt to save, nothing happens. Once I have exited the shipyard, a dialogue box comes up with my ship name and a description box. When I attempt to then save, the whole game crashes.

Any help would be appreciated.
