Customizing your PC -- on the outside

Unique cases and more.

Want your PC to look like an iPod? How about a Pumpkin? Or something all together different?

CNET has a story on how some vendors are starting to customize what their PCs look like on the outside.  Now, one wonders when more of them will figure out that differentiation on the inside matters too. ;)

Nice article Brad. Very interesting stuff going on in the PC Customization world.

I've always wanted a computer case that replicates the Quake Logo. But, hey that's just me.

I'll never understand all of this stuff. I do consider myself a pretty big geek, but for as long as I've been building computers for myself...

...my goal was always to get them smaller and quieter.....not bigger and more flamboyant, with more fans.

If you ask me, a PC should be about half the size of a laptop, with 1 plug for power and one for display. Everything else (including optical drives) should be wireless and seperate.

Ha those are pretty good..lol I guess it is a (personal) computer after all... I think a chrome one with flames and skulls on it would be pretty bad as*. Make the drive bays look like a mouth and teeth..lol

Being perpetually broke, I hope we always have the option of putting something together from the basic bare bones...

I really dont care what my PC looks like, I never look at it anyways.
Display, keyboard/mouse and DVD drive is the only things I interact with...if I could get a wireless display and external drive I would keep my PC in a whole different room.
Actually I guess that is do'able....Hmmmm

My pc is self customizing. It slowly collects cat hair to the point that I have to bring it to a vet, not a techy.
